Congratulations to the three Debutantes, Annie, Jackie and Kendall! May you all have bright and prosperous futures.
We believe this was one of the most elegant, elaborate and well thought out events we have been to…. ever. It’s kind of hard to describe the theme of this Debutante Ball. One can say it had a beautiful magical garden feeling that was whimsical. As you enter the large tent, you were greeted by each of the Debutantes name on a wall of ivy. Each of their names were beautifully scripted using different colored flowers. The center of the main dining room had a large garden gazebo-like structure wrapped in vines and flowers that protected the buffet of food. Did I mention there were large colorful butterflies, flamingos and birds scattered throughout this large space? The outer walls of the venue had murals of gardens and trees, which helped complete the experience. I think the coolest attraction was the walking tree or ivy. That’s right folks, there was a large walking ivy. I first spotted this creature when I saw it moving away from Jackie’s wall of ivy. This creature blended so well into the wall I wish I could have seen peoples reactions when it first started moving…. it was awesome!
The second tented area was what I would call the cocktail room. This room had the same magical garden theme but had a pinkish tone since that was the primary color of the lights. This room had a large circular bar setup right in the middle with a number of standard and pub tables throughout. The amazing part of this room was the rotating carousel found above the bar and the large disco ball in the center of the carousel… WOW!
The third part of this magical experience was found outside between the main dining room and the cocktail room. This outdoor garden was setup specifically for those special portraits, if you really wanted to feel you were part of a mystical adventure. The garden had large colorful mushrooms that were lit within, which allowed the colors to pop. There was a large fountain in the middle of the garden that was surrounded by large mushrooms, by trees and by two large flower decorated giraffes. The key to this outdoor scene was lighting.
Thanks to Katie Mullins for planning this event and for allowing us to be a part of the celebration.
